Condenser cleaning System (CCS) With Sponge Rubber Balls
The CCS consists of a ball strainer, a debris filter, a ball collector, a ball recirculating pump and a programmable controller. The sponge rubber balls are transported through the condenser tubes by the cooling water flow. After cleaning the tubes, they are separated from the cooling water by the ball strainer, extracted by the ball recirculating pump and reinjected into the cooling water inlet after passing the ball collector. The cleaning balls are oversized in relation to the tube inner diameter, thereby they remove fouling and even scaling form the cooling surface. Use of the CCS may reduce the pressure difference between the two ends of the condenser and the back pressure of a steam turbine, increase the heat efficiency of the turbine, and reduce the coal consumption as well as retard the corrosion of the copper tubes, it can even clean a condenser without cutting down the acual load of the generating set, therefore it is an ideal device to save energy and improve working conditions.
The CCS, developed jointly by the works and Xi-an Heat Engineering Research Institute can be used for condensers of steam turbines ranged from 1500 KW to 600 MW. Now, over 600 complete sets of this type of this type of cleaner have been manufactured in this works for over 200 power stations and chemical, steel and coal engineering systems all over China. It is warmly welcomed by the broad masses of the consumers. |
